The Company’s History in Brief
The idea of establishing ODIN Investments Company came during the events of the first conference of Egyptians Abroad, which was held under the patronage and presence of President Mohamed Anwar El Sadat in 1981, and the recommendations of the Second Egyptians Abroad Conference held under the patronage of President Hosni Mubarak in 1983, with the aim of finding an effective mechanism to attract the savings of Egyptians abroad to be invested in development projects in their motherland.
The company was founded in 1984 and participated (over 35 years) in the establishment of many companies in the industrial, services, real estate, and financial sectors that contributed to the ongoing development in Egypt.
The company has acquired numerous and diversified experiences in financing and investment activities, in the financial services sector, through mergers, acquisitions, and establishment transactions, in addition of real estate investment activities as well as stock market and securities transactions.
The company was founded by the big four public banks in Egypt, namely: National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, Banque du Caire, and Bank of Alexandria in addition to 3,300 of individual shareholders; most of them are Egyptian communities abroad, representing some of the businessmen and Egyptian scientists abroad, in addition to other companies and banks.
